Lego Terrifying Tales Trailer The month’s news kicked off with a trailer for the Disney+ Lego holiday special ‘Terrifying Tales’, which will air on 1st October, view the trailer here . I’m looking forward to Terrifying Tales, Lego animation always delivers something fun and the trailer promises stories involving the Knights of Ren, Nightsisters and a ‘What If Luke joined the Empire’. PS5 Knights of the Old Republic Remake Announced The internet blew up on 9th September when a Knights of the Old Republic remake for the PS5 was revealed at PlayStation Showcase 2021 with a reveal trailer . The KOTOR remake will be a timed exclusive for the PlayStation 5 before coming to other platforms including PC, and be developed by Aspyr (Call of Duty, Borderlands). Knights of the Old Republic is legendary among Star Wars fans, but is a game I missed out on so I’m excited to play an updated version with modern graphics and get to grips with Revan.   Lego Star Wars Terrifying Tales Announced On 3rd August the Lego Star Wars Terrifying Tales special was announced, coming to Disney+ on 1st October in time for the Halloween season. The description on Star Wars dot com - here - outlines the plot as Poe & BB-8 being forced to land on Mustafar, where they meet a Hutt turning Vader’s Castle into a Sith themed hotel. The premise sounds hilarious and I really enjoyed the Lego Holiday Special that came out last year, Lego always delivers fun Star Wars. Star Wars Visions Trailer Released Excitement for the Star Wars Visions project went up several notches this month when the First Look trailer was released at the LA Anime Expo on 3rd July, watch the trailer here . The trailer featured a stunning variety of styles, graphics and concept art, and revealed that the series will begin streaming 22nd September along with the episode titles and studios working on them. Book of Boba Fett is Mando Season 2.5 It was reported by Collider on 10th June that The Book of Boba Fett had finished filming and was being referred to as The Mandalorian Season 2.5, which is logical given that we were previously told that the announced series would all take place within the Mandalorian timeline and would interconnect and build to a conclusion. This followed news on 8th June that The Mandalorian had not yet started filming a third season and in all likelihood not begin until late 2021 or early 2022. This was revealed by Pedro Pascal in conversation with Ewan McGregor for Variety . While it’s a shame we will have to wait so long for a third season, I’m still more excited for that than the Book of Boba, it’s make more sense of Rangers of the New Republic not being in active development and Lucasfilm have plenty on their plate right now with Andor and Obi-Wan Kenobi both still in production. The Bad Batch Debuts On Disney+ on May 4th A whole host of new Star Wars content arrived on Disney+ on Star Wars day including the 75 minute debut of new animated series, The Bad Batch ( review ). Also released were the Simpsons short ‘Maggie Simpson in The Force Awakens From It’s Nap’, Star Wars Biomes and Vehicle Flythroughs. The surprise hit for me was Biomes, a slow tv drone style fly through of planets such as Hoth, Tatooine and Mustafar, which I have played more times than I can count already, my only complaint is that at 20 minutes it’s too short, I would love more episodes! Star Wars Celebration 2022 Moved Forward On 12th May it was announced that Star Wars Celebration 2022 was moving from it’s previously announced August to May 26th-29th. The convention had originally been scheduled for June 2020 but had been moved to 2022 due to the pandemic.
